Megan F., CVT
Certified Veterinary Technician
Megan has been with Frontier Veterinary Urgent Care since the beginning of the clinic but her career in veterinary medicine goes back to childhood. At the age of 12 she started volunteering at the Wisconsin Humane Society making enrichment toys for the animals, walking dogs, and caring for the orphan baby birds. She started her veterinary career in high school working as a kennel assistant in a general practice, making her way into the role of a customer service representative. In 2019, Megan graduated from Gateway Technical College with her associates in Veterinary Medicine and took her boards to become a Certified Veterinary Technician. She spent 5 years working in emergency medicine prior to Frontier Veterinary Urgent Care. Megan is hoping to get her VTS (veterinary technician specialist) in either Emergency and Critical Care or Anesthesia sometime in the near future. She has a passion for client education, seeing a large variety of different cases day to day and being able to help pets get back to feeling their best again. While Megan is not at work she enjoys foraging for mushrooms, collecting oddities like humane and naturally sourced bones, insects and things of the like, traveling, going on local brewery tours tasting various craft beers, spending time with friends, and hanging out with her two cats Kippy and Rouleaux.
