Alison H.
Veterinary Assistant
Alison is a Veterinary Assistant with previous experience as a kennel technician at a boarding kennel along with being a groomer assistant at a small pet salon for two years. Before undergrad ended, she interned for the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources as a Wildlife Technician. In 2022, after double majoring in biology and natural resources with an emphasis in fisheries and wildlife ecology from Northland College, she went on to work for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service as a biological science technician in MN. In 2023, she earned her masters in Fisheries and Wildlife Science and Management from University of Idaho. During her master’s she worked as a wildlife rehabilitation intern at the Wisconsin Humane Society. Throughout the internship, she knew veterinary medicine was her calling. Alison’s new goal is to continue her academics by pursuing a dual degree earning a DVM and PhD studying animal psychology at Michigan State University… hopefully.
When Alison has downtime, she likes to spend it with family and her GSP. Alison is an avid reader, and likes playing board games, birding, and exploring new places she has never been before.
